         HERMISTON — Clyde Morgan Berry, 86, of Hermiston died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Faith Presbyterian Church, 1005 S.E. Ninth St., in Hermiston. Burial with military honors will follow in the Hermiston Cemetery.
         Mr. Berry was born March 9, 1924, in Oregon City to Clyde R. and Elizabeth (Morgan) Berry. He was a veteran, serving in the Navy during World War II. He was a longtime resident of Hermiston since 1942.
         He worked as a fireman at the Umatilla Army Depot for a time, and then worked at McNary Dam as a power house operator for many years, retiring in 1973.
         He married his wife Nellie in 2006 in Hermiston.
         Mr. Berry is survived by his wife, Nellie Berry of Hermiston; sons ----- Berry of Pasco, Wash., ----- Berry of San Antonio, Texas, and ----- ----- of St. Johnsville, N.Y.; daughters ----- ----- of Portland, ----- ----- of Cameron, W.V., ----- ----- of Weston and ----- ----- of Forest Grove; sister ----- Berry of Portland; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and a nephew.
         He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Elizabeth Berry; wife of many years Clara Jane Berry in 2002; and sister Clara Platt.
         Memorial contributions may be made to the Vange John Memorial Hospice, 1050 W. Elm Ave., Suite 220, Hermiston, OR 97838
