    Brandon, Ia., Sept. 17 --

       Mr. and Mrs. Dell Likins and Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Likens were in Vinton Saturday to attend the funeral of the men's mother, Mrs. Mary Likens, who died at her home last Thursday evening. About two years ago Mrs. Likins had a stroke of paralysis and had been confined to her bed since. Deceased was born in the Bear Creek community, south of Brandon, about 70 years ago. She was united in marriage to William Likens about 47 years ago and two children were born to that union, Dell, Brandon, and Cora, Vinton. She is also survived by three stepchildren, P. M. Likins, Kansas City; Mrs. Mary Kelly, Cedar Rapids, and O. G. Likins, Brandon.
       Funeral services were at the home, conducted by Rev. Mr. Kleckner of Christian church. Burial was in the Brandon cemetery.
