Curtiss Buron Anderson was born on 10 February 1910 in Bryant, Snohomish County, Washington, USA, the third son of Buron Andrew Anderson and Coral Cecil Curtiss.  Other names for Curtiss were C. B. Anderson, Curt Anderson, Curtiss Bjorn Anderson, Curtiss Buren Anderson.

On 20 July 1930 in Nine Mile Falls, Spokane County, Washington, USA, Curtiss married his wife, Frances Nellie Desso.  Frances was born 29 Dec 1912 in Davenport, Lincoln County, Washington, the daughter of Lucius Allen Desso and his wife, Alta Ocean Yaryan.  Later Curtiss' brother Albert was married to Frances' sister Dorothy for a time.  After Curtiss and Frances married, they lived in several places before settling in Grangeville, Idaho. They had 3 daughters.  In 1963, the Andersons moved to the Irondale/Port Hadlock area of Jefferson County, Washington.

Curt died on 12 July 2000 in Irondale, Jefferson County, Washington, USA at the age of 90 years old.  It was only a week or so before his 70th wedding anniversary.  He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Chimacum, Jefferson County,
Washington, USA.  His wife Frances (or "Frankie" as she was sometimes known) died 2 years later, on 28 September 2002 in Port Hadlock, Jefferson County, Washington, US at the age of 89.  She was also buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Chimacum.
