HUGH EDWARD CLARK DIES; 22 YEARS IN VAUDEVILLE
Hugh Edward Clark, 40 years, old, formerly a well-known vaudeville actor, died at his residence, on 2d ave., East Rockaway, on Sunday, after -a short illness." Mr. Clark was born in the Eastern District of Brooklyn, the son-of the late Ellen and Patrick Clark. He was engaged in the show business for twenty-two years and appeared in nearly every vaudeville house in this country with his wife under the name of Clark and Turner. He retired from the stage about three years ago and made his home at East Rockaway, where he was appointed Postmaster, which position he filled up to the time of his illness. He was a member of Angelus Council, K. of C; the Actors Union and the White Pats', of America. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pearl Turner Clark. The funeral will beheld tomorrow morning with a requiem mass in the R. C. Church of St. Raymond, at East Rockaway, and interment in Calvary Cemetery. from the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, New York June15,
