             Funeral services for John R. Brisbois of Hugo were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hugo. Interment was in Shoat Springs Cemetery.
             Mr. Brisbois died May 22, 2004, in Paris, Texas. He was 79.
             Mr. Brisbois was born November 9, 1924, in Fonda, Iowa, the son of John B. Brisbois and Gladys (Richmond) Brisbois and had lived most of his life in the Hugo area. He was a retired truck driver and a World War II Army veteran. He was of the Catholic faith; he was a member of the VFW, the DAV and the American Legion.
             Surviving relatives: His ex-wife, Mertie Brisbois; one son, ----- Brisbois of Idabel; two stepsons, ----- Earnest of Ft. Towson and ----- ----- Liles of Holly Creek; one daughter, ----- ----- of Paris, Texas; five step-daughters, ----- Powell of Ft. Towson, ----- Geatch of Ft. Towson, Jessie Johnson of Swink, ----- Greer of Hugo and ----- Liles of Ft. Towson; one sister, ----- ----- of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; numerous grandchildren.
             Services under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Hugo.
