Mrs. Mary E. Rutan
   Mrs. Mary Etta Rutan, 81, died Saturday afternoon at that Gerrit-Smith Infirmary, Eaton, after being in poor health for several months.
   Born in Delta on Aug. 12, 1886, she was the daughter of Charles and Lydia Lynch Stratton. She was married to Earl A. Rutan on Feb. 3, 1909. He died July 5, 1951.
   Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George Zabele of Oneida, Mrs. Charles Alter of Morrisville and Mrs. Peter Kampf of Munnsville; one brother, Harvey Stratton; 17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the C.E. Love and Sons Funeral Home in Munnsville with the Rev. Orrin T. Carroll, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery.
