Mother:  Sarah Bosley (b: 25 OCT 1804 in Lincoln, Kentucky)

William Henry Childress and his wife Mary, who was probably a sister to Joseph Montgomery, came to Fayette County, Illinois in 1874 with several big wagons. They purchased a farm and cleared the land in the Kaskaskia River bottoms.

Second Wife:  Nancy Reed (born about 1840 in Illinois; married 18 OCT 1877 in Fayette County, Illinois)
