    Mari0n Raymond

       Oakland — Marion Earl Raymond, 76, of Oakland, died Monday afternoon (Dec. 8, 1997) at his residence.
       A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Villa Grove Cemetery with military rights conducted by the Oakland VFW. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Tabor funeral home, Oakland.
       He was born Aug. 25, 1921, in St. Elmo, the son of Claude and Bonnie Yates Raymond. He married Mary Rife in 1940. She died in 1958. He married Iva Mae Rogers Gilliland in 1965. She survives.
       Also surviving are six sons, ----- Raymond of Longview, Charles Raymond and ----- -----, both of Decatur, ----- Raymond of Toronto, Canada, ----- Raymond of St. Charles, and ----- Raymond of Tuscola; one daughter, ----- ----- ----- of Fairland; two stepsons, ----- Gilliland of Arcola and ----- Gilliland of Oakland; one stepdaughter, ----- ----- of Rantoul; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and seven step-grandchildren.
       Mr. Raymond was an Army veteran of WW II and was a member of the Oakland VFW 3637. He was employed at USI, Tuscola, for 25 years.
