bullet  General Notes

NOTE:  I suspect that William Pugh, husband of Jane Powell, is the brother to Eliza Denny Pugh and Nancy Reames Pugh (who were sisters and who married 2 of Jane's Powell brothers), but I do not have proof at this point.  One reason for my suspicion (besides the same last name) is that Nancy Pugh was in James' Powell's household in Missouri, living right next door to William Pugh and Jane Powell Pugh.  Nancy Pugh later travelled to Oregon with James on the 1852 wagon train and subsequently married James' brother Jackson.  kmh.
