       MONROE, Mich. — Robert E. Work, 77, of Monroe, formerly of Witt, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, in Monroe.
       He was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Tower Hill, the son of Robert and Ardelissa Cook Work. He married Arlene Ruth Reed in 1949; she preceded him in death in 1980.
       Mr. Work worked for Chrysler Motors and Mobil Oil Co. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
       Survivors: a sister, Helen Marie Gasiewski of South Bend, Ind.; a niece; and a nephew.
       Services: noon Wednesday, Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Witt, Dr. J. Duane Beals officiating. Burial: Witt Cemetery.
