       Funeral Services for Mary H. Read have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at New Life Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Pastor Danny Isgrigg will officiate. Burial will be at Laurel Land Memorial Garden Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.
       Mary H. Read was born September 14, 1924 in Hillsboro, Illinois the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Marusek) Borgen. Mary died Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Oklahoma Heart Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 88 years of age.
       The former Miss Mary Borgen was a 1942 graduate of Hillsboro Heights High School and also graduated with a Business Degree from College in St. Louis, Missouri. She married Laymon "Warren" Read on December 24, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1975. Mary was an Executive Secretary for the Army/Airforce Exchange Service from 1971 until retiring in 1989.
       She enjoyed swimming, fishing and quilting. She was always involved in Church Ministry and taught Sunday School. Memorials may be made to New Life Center, 5100 S. Aspen, Broken Arrow, OK 74011.
       She is survived by grandson, ----- and wife ----- Markwood, Tulsa, OK; granddaughter, ----- Koehler, Ozark, MO; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Nathan, Joey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren, daughter, Marie Markwood and her parents.
