Letha Bell Whiteley Delano

LOMETA — Services for Letha Bell Whiteley Delano, 93, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Briggs-Gamel Funeral Home in Lampasas.

Burial will follow in Oak Hills Cemetery in Lampasas.

Mrs. Delano died Sunday from complications after she broke her hip in June 2003.

She was born May 30, 1910, in Bell County, the daughter of John Amos Whiteley and Letia Elizabeth Cowan Whiteley. She married William "Bill" Andrew Delano Sept. 8, 1928, in Coryell County.

Mrs. Delano lived in Lampasas County since 1932.

Survivors include a daughter, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Millard Whiteley and Earl Whiteley; a grandson, Dale Crain; and three infant brothers.

The family will receive visitors from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
