Ann S. Rhodes

ISLE OF PALMS - Services for Ann Swett Rhodes, 56, will be held Friday, December 21, 2007, at 3:30 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2007, from 5-7 p.m. at the church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Ann died Monday morning, December 17, 2007, at her residence. Born in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Rodney Emery Swett and Miriam Taylor Swett. Ann graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in fine arts. She received her masters in education from the University of South Carolina.

Following graduation, Ann taught art at the elementary, middle and high school level for 12 years. She then devoted all her time and love to her husband and children, home, neighbors, and friends. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and caring for children, family and friends.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and served as a counter, an acolyte, an assisting minister and was active in the fellowship ministry.
