Obituary:

Evelyn Hermana Miller, 86, of Newark died Friday, September 14 at Provena-St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet.

Mrs. Miller was born November 6, 1914 in Newark to Andrew and Gerti Rasmusson. She married Burnett E. Miller February 7, 1936 in Newark. She was a member of the Newark Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Burnett Miller; her son, two grandchildren,  two great grandchildren, soon an expected great grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Madolyn Tu of Newark.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Sandra Miller of Peoria in 1987.

Funeral services will be held at Noon Monday, September 17 with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating at the Larson-Gabel Funeral Home Ltd., 102 South Johnson Street, Newark, IL, 60541-0623, phone 815-695-5131. Burial will be at the Millington-Newark Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until Noon at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are directed to the Millington-Newark Cemetery or Rivershores Nursing Center in Marseilles.
