         PEORIA — Maurice Lee Woodruff, 65, of Los Angeles, Calif., formerly of Peoria, died Saturday, July 2, 1994, at Alexandria Convalescent Center in Los Angeles. He was born Aug. 24, 1928, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Lewis McCabe and Constance Noste Woodruff.
         Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Robert H. (Corinne W.) Michel of Peoria; two brothers, Hubert W. of Salem and Vaughn N. of Evanston; and 13 nieces and nephews.
         He attended Bradley University and graduated from the University of Miami, Fla.
         He retired from the V. Trayne Corp. He was director of the Long Beach, Calif., Chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America for many years.
         He was a Korean War Army veteran.
         There will be private family services. Cremation has been accorded and burial of ashes will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Pierce Brothers, Cunningham and O'Connor Mortuary in Los Angeles is in charge of arrangements.
