On the thirtieth January 1862 at Sauchie, Clackmannan after Banns according to the Forms of the Established Church of Scotland, William Sneddon (Coal miner), bachelor, aged 23, residing at Denny, Stirlingshire and Helen Harrower (Mill worker), spinster, aged 23, residing at Alloa, were married (Helen's X witnessed by John McGill and Henry Sneddon). The marriage certificate shows the parents of William Sneddon as James Sneddon (Coal miner) and Margaret Sneddon (ms Davidson). The parents of Helen Harrower are shown as David Harrower (Coal miner) deceased and Janet Harrower (ms Hunter). Witnesses Henry Sneddon and Thomas Stevenson. Signed John McGill minister.
