     LeROY — L. Ruth Small, 94, LeRoy, passed away at 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday (May 18, 2010) at LeRoy Manor in LeRoy.
     Private graveside services will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington, with the Rev. Andrew Gifford officiating. East Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the LeRoy Ambulance Service.
     She was born Jan. 16, 1916, in Colfax, daughter of Wilford and Leona Ritter Thornberry. She married Kenneth Small on Oct. 18, 1934, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1991. She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Small; an infant granddaughter, Susan Small; and one grandson, Ricki Small.
     Surviving are her children, ----- (-----) Small, Bloomington; Ronald (-----) Small, Arlington, Texas; ----- (-----) -----, Arrowsmith; and Norman Small, Holder; her grandchildren, ----- (----- -----) Small, Livermore, Calif.; ----- Small and ----- Small, both of Farmers Station, Texas; ----- (-----) -----, Bloomington; ----- (----- -----) -----, Arrowsmith; and ----- ----- ----- and ----- Small, both of LeRoy; and six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, ----- Small, Bloomington, and ----- Fassero, Normal; and her sister-in-law, ----- Savage, Normal.
