       DEWITT — Elda Eileen Jackson, 79, of Dewitt died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 11, 2000) at Crestview Healthcare Center, Clinton.
       Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Jim Dann will officiate. Burial will be in Dewitt Cemetery, Dewitt. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral Saturday at the funeral home.
       Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice.
       She was born Feb. 9, 1921, in Harp Township, DeWitt County, a daughter of Russell and Sarah Louise Armstrong Parrott. She married Lester Leo Welch on May 8, 1939 in Lafayette, Ind. He died in March 1967. She later married Harvey W. Jackson in 1971. He died Nov. 13, 1991.
       Survivors include one son, Thomas (Leslie) Welch, Dewitt; one daughter, ----- (-----) Richards, Clinton; two brothers, Jim (Louise) Parrott and Allen (Diane) Parrott, both of Olney; and one sister, Martha Jealene Walters, of Dewitt; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
       She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Susan Troyer; two brothers; and one granddaughter.
