NOBLE EARL GRANDON was the son of Noble Omer Grandon and his first wife, Goldie Mabel Rodgers.  He was born 16 June 1919 in Flora, Clay County, Illinois, USA. The young family showed up there on the 1920 census — husband Noble, wife Goldie, and 6-month-old Noble Earl Grandon.  Not listed on the census was the infant daughter who had been stillborn in 1918.  Noble's father worked as a plumber for the railroad; perhaps that is why they moved to Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois, USA (1923 city directory), and after that to Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, USA (1930 census).  About 1925 Noble's father married again, to Mary Alice.  (It is not known what happened to Noble's birth mother, Goldie Rodgers Grandon.)

The Grandon family stayed in McCracken County, Kentucky, and it was there that young Noble died at the age of 21.  He was in a car accident and his skull was crushed; he died on 19 October 1940 in Boaz, McCracken County, Kentucky, USA.  On the 21st of October 1940, Noble Earl Grandon was buried in Elmwood Cemetery in his hometown of Flora (the same place his paternal grandparents were buried).  Later on, when Noble Sr. died in 1966, and stepmother Alice died in 1988, they  too were buried in Elmwood Cemetery.
