    Alice A. Phillips

    FALL RIVER, MA — Alice A. (McGill) Phillips, 86, of Fall River formerly of Aberdeen, Scotland, passed away on Saturday January 10, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was born in Fall River the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Williams) McGill. Alice was raised and educated in Aberdeen, Scotland. She returned to the United States in 1970, and worked for Truesdale and Charlton Memorial Hospitals as a manager for the Accounting Department, retiring in 1991.

    Mrs. Phillips traveled the world. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Alice also enjoyed knitting, needlepoint and cooking.

    Survivors are two daughters: ----- ----- Bathgate of Aberdeen, Scotland; ----- ----- Montplaisir and her husband ----- of Assonet, MA; three grandchildren: ----- White of Aberdeen, Scotland; ----- -----Bathgate of London; and ----- ----- Montplaisir of Assonet, MA; three great grandchildren: ----- and ----- White and ----- Bathgate; a sister: ----- Dunnigan of Palm City, FL; two brothers: ----- McGill of Somerset, MA; ----- McGill of Akron, OH. She was the sister of the late Merwyn McGill and good friend of the late Sue Earnshaw.

    CALLING HOURS for Mrs. Phillips will be held on SATURDAY, January 17, 2015 from 10am to 12noon, followed by words of remembrance at 12noon, in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River.

    Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial Donations in her memory can be made to the Artificial Kidney Foundation, c/o Fresenuis Medical Care, 48 Weaver Street, Fall River, MA 02720.
