  Juanita D. Springer, age 78, died Monday afternoon, Feb. 4, 2008, at Oakwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albia. Juanita's body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at Oak View Cemetery in Albia, with Rev. Kevin Leveck officiating.
  
  Juanita was born Sept. 3, 1927 to Orlin and Dorothy (Davis) Chapman in Cedar Rapids. Juanita attended school and later worked in a nursing home. She married Howard Springer. He precedes her in death. Juanita was a talented artist and loved music. She enjoyed children, family, and friends, and was known as a very friendly lady.
  
  Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard, and one brother, William Chapman.
  
  Juanita is survived by two sisters, Luella Scholtus of Albia, and ----- Applegate of Willamsburg. She is also survived by two half brothers, ----- Chapman of Toledo, and ----- Chapman of California; and two half sisters, ----- Jackson of Monroe, and ----- Secore of St. Paul, Minn.
