EILEEN ANNA CLARKE was born in Enniskillin, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland in 1924, daughter of Luke Clarke and his wife, Margaret McCaffrey.  Her parents worked as school teachers.  Eileen had 2 brothers and 2 sisters and she was born smack in the middle, with one older and one younger sibling of each gender.  She grew up in Drummanymore, County Fermanagh.

As a young woman, Eileen worked in the civil service in Belfast.  When she was 22, her mother died; Margaret was only about 51 years old at the time.

Eileen married her husband, JAMES ALEXANDER BANKHEAD, about 1956, possibly in Belfast.  James was born 1928 in Ireland, the son of Alexander Bankhead.  James and Eileen emigrated to the United States, arriving in Seattle in December 1957 from Montreal, Canada.  James worked as a tool engineer for the Boeing Company.  They had two sons together, but unfortunately James died on 12 November 1963 after a short illness.  He was only 35 years old at the time.

Eileen and her sons stayed in Renton, King County, Washington, where they were living when James died.  Three years after his death, on 3 February 1967, Eileen married again to widower LYLE RAYMOND LINDQUIST.  Lyle was born 24 November 1916 in Becker, Sherburne County, Minnesota, the son of John Carl Lindquist and Clara Coswin.  After only 6 years of marriage, however, Eileen died of a stroke in Valley General Hospital in Renton on 24 March 1973.  She was 49 years old.  Eileen was buried in Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton next to her first husband James Bankhead.
