General Notes

Nancy Liona HILL was born on 20 March 1908 in Castle Rock, Cowlitz County, Washington, USA.  She was the daughter of Clayton and Effie Hill.  About 1925, Nancy married Albert Arnold ANDERSON, probably in Washington.  Albert was born on 18 March 1905 in Arlington, Snohomish County, Washington, USA, and he died 02 Feb 1969 in Sacramento, Sacramento County, California, USA at the age of 63.

Albert and Nancy (or "Liona" as she was frequently known) had 5 or 6 children together, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1936.  Their firstborn was an infant daughter who died in 1926. Another daughter, Alberta Rose Anderson, also died quite young, in 1941, when she was only 8 years old.  My source on this family (a distant cousin, but much more closely connected to Albert than I am), tells of a son, Albert Arnold Anderson Jr., who was killed at age 8 or 9 by a drunk driver at Woodland Park in Seattle, King County, Washington, USA.  Since I cannot find any death records for Albert Arnold Anderson Jr., I have a strong suspicion that "Albert" may be a confusion with his sister Alberta, who did die when she was 8 years old in Seattle, Washington. However, until it can be proven one way or another, I do not discount the possibility of Albert Arnold Anderson Jr. as their 6th child.  Besides the 2 or 3 children who died young, Albert and Nancy also had a son and a daughter (still living in 2009), as well as a son, Ray Clifton Anderson, who died in 1975 at the age of 46.

After Albert and Nancy divorced, they both remarried and had additional children.  Nancy's second husband was Leroy "Roy" DUNN.  They had 3 daughters (one of those daughters, Donna Lucille (Dunn) Brown, died in Port Townsend in 2006, at the age of 65).  Roy died 17 Feb 1965 in Jefferson County, Washington (probably in Port Townsend), and then Nancy died 13 years later on 19 August 1978 in Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington, USA.
