    Vivian La Von (Ferguson) Myers
    February 7, 1920 - November 22, 2012

    Obituary

Vivian La Von Ferguson Myers, 92, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on November 26th, 2012 in Phoenix, Az. She was born to Clarence and Marie Ferguson on Feb. 7, 1920 in their Missouri farmhouse, very near Pittsburg, Kansas. She married Robert W. Myers in 1942. They resided in the Pittsburg, Kansas area until moving to Phoenix in 1954 where she was very active in 4-H both as a child and as a leader. She was a great seamstress making lots of clothes for her daughter and others.
In Phoenix, she became a sales mgr. for a small clothing store where she had many friends. She then worked at Camelback High School where she eventually retired from. She was a
Charter member of Paradise Valley Meth. Church and also attended Camelback Bible Church.
After retiring she and her husband moved to Prescott, AZ where they joined and became active members of Willow Hills Baptist Church. Her husband built a new home for their retirement, of which she was very proud. While there she volunteered at the Chamber of Commerce and the Yavapai Regional Med. Center for many years and served faithfully at her church.
She had the gift of hospitality and loved doing for others. When you went to her house to visit, you would be served something to eat. She was loved by everyone. Robert and she celebrated their 70th Ann. this past May. What a legacy she left her family. Mom always said "I'm just a farm girl".
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister LaVerne, baby brother Harley, and great grandson Tyler James. She is survived by her husband, Robert, daughter ----- (-----) ----- of Laveen, son ----- Myers of Prescott. Grandchildren, David (Dee) -----, Kathi -----, of Phoenix, Steve (Jennifer) ----- of Prescott, Russ (Amy) ----- of Chandler. Great grandchildren, Kristin and Melissa -----, Stephanie (Joel) -----, Shelbyrae and Riley -----, Emily, Andrew, and Luke -----. Also survived by 2 sister-in-laws, ----- and ----- Myers, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins who all stayed in touch.
We want to thank some special caregivers who loved and cared for her while in Prescott, Cristina, Toni, Alisha and Diana. They treated her like she was their own Mother. Also want to thank her recent caregiver, Aida who lovingly cared for her like her grandmother the last months of her life in Phoenix. Services will be held at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 No. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Az. on Monday, Nov. 26th at 12:00 (noon). Memorials can be sent to Yavapai Regional Medical Center, Volunteer Services Dept. in care of Philanthropic Dept. in Prescott, AZ., or to for research are suggested.
