    Mrs. Nickerson, 76, Dies in Canadian City

    NIAGARA FALLS, Ont., Sept. 22 — Mrs. Catherine Nickerson, 76, died at the Greater Niagara General Hospital yesterday following a lengthy illness.

    Mrs. Nickerson was born in Beverley township and had lived in Niagara Falls for 45 years.  For many years she resided in Ryerson crescent, but lately had made her home with her daughterat 2138 Diamonte parkway.  She was a member of Drummond Hill Presbyterian church. Her husband, Joseph Nickerson, died in 1945.

    Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Jones, Toronto and Mrs. Emil Messing, this city; one son, Donald Nickerson, this city; two brothers and three sisters, Gordon Stewart and Mrs. Robert Jamison, Galt, Ont., Howitt Stewart, Puslinch, Mrs. Alec Campbell, Saskatoon, Sask., and Mrs. William Henderson, Wingham, Ont., and five grandchildren.

    The body is at the funeral chapel of Hetherington and Deans where services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Drummond Hill Cemetery.
