  CARRIE PERSINGER DIES AT FAIRLAND
  Death Caused By Apoplexy - Had Been in Failing Health For a Year
  FUNERAL FRIDAY MORNING

  Mrs. Carrie Beatrice Persinger, 44 years old, wife of Walter Persinger, died at her home northeast of Fairland in Brandywine township from apoplexy about six o'clock this morning. Although she had been in ill health for the past year, her death was quite unexpected and comes as a shock to her family and large circle of friends.
  
  Mrs. Persinger was born January 22, 1882 [note: grave stone shows different date], the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Gray. Her mother died two and one-half years ago. She was married November 25, 1910, to Walter Persinger. She leaves seven children, Mary Irene, Byron Walter, Albert Gray, Edith Louise, Ann Lucile, Beatrice Lillian and Martha Jean. Besides her husband, father and children, she leaves a brother, Rory Gray and a sister, Mrs. Mary Howard, both of Sugar Creek township and several aunts and uncles.
  
  She united with the Fairland Baptist church early in life and has been a faithful church member ever since.
  
  Funeral services will be held at the Fairland Baptist church Friday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. I. C. Overman, pastor of the First Baptist church of Shelbyville officiating, assisted by the Rev. Emril Sites. Burial will be in the Fairland cemetery in charge of C. F. Fix and Son,. Funeral directors.
