  • Although Charles was buried at Galston Cemetery in Galston, Ayrshire, Scotland in 1881, his son Charles Currie erected a memorial to him in Kaimshill Cemetery. Kaimshill Cemetery is located in Riccarton (which is now part of Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland), and is a little over 3½ miles away from Galston Cemetery.  The attached photo features the panel in Kaimshill Cemetery that memorializes Charles Currie (1802 –1881).
