• Although George was buried at Riccarton Churchyard in Riccarton, Ayrshire, Scotland in 1861, his son-in-law Charles Currie erected a memorial to him in Kaimshill Cemetery.  Kaimshill Cemetery is also located in Riccarton (which is now part of Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland).
