    John Jones Adams
    June 25, 1932 - Aug. 8, 2010

    Dear friend John Jones "Jack" Adams died Aug. 8, 2010. He was born June 25, 1932, and raised in Winnipeg, Canada, and attended Northern Vocational Art School and Ontario College of Art. He worked for 32 years in the municipal  government Park and Recreation Department in Toronto, Canada. He moved to the United States in 1988, after his first wife, Davidina Taylor McDougall, of Peterhead, Scotland died.

    He met and later married Madlyn Ruth Geisert April 30, 2001, in North Bend. She died in 2002.

    Jack was president of the Oregon Dahlia Society. He bred and judged dahlias and was an international judge, traveling to England for exhibitions.

    Jack moved in 2004 to Reedsport, where he joined the Dunes Art Club and painted beautiful landscapes in acrylic.

    His friends will  miss Jack's smile at the Dunes Art Club every Monday morning. To them, he was one of God's special people.

    Jack is survived by a daughter, ----- ----- Adams; brother, ----- Adams; niece ----- Soucie, all of Canada; and a brother, ----- Adams in London, England.

    Arrangements are under the direction of Dunes Memorial Chapel,  (541) 271-2822 .
