Son of Phylonzo Byrd "Alonzo" Cleveland and Anna Elizabeth Nelson. Husband of Bertha May Comstock; Nettie Howard; and Viola Pearl Swift. First George married Bertha about 1915 in Oregon; they had 4 children together, but divorced before 1923. Then George married Mrs. Nettie Pratt (nee Howard) in Walla Walla, Washington in 1923. They had one son, but divorced before 1927. George next married Viola in Vancouver, Washington in 1927 (as witnessed by George's brother J. W. Cleveland and his sister-in-law Edna Cleveland). However, George and Viola also divorced (and George was back together with Nettie again) by the 1930 census.
