MABEL M. RAYMOND
ONEIDA — Mrs. Mabel Raymond, 66, State Bridge, a Gold Star Mother, died at her home, March 7, 1953, after a long illness. She was the widow of William Raymond.
Mrs. Raymond was born in Peterboro on May 27, 1886. Her husband died July 1, 1929.
Surviving are six sons, Lewis, Oriskany Falls; Charles, Verona; Arthur, Vestal; Frank, Vernon; William, at home; Lyle, Chittenango; six daughters, Stella, Mildred and Jessie Raymond, and Mrs. Ruth O'Neal, Syracuse; Mrs. Benjamin Perkins, Marcy; Mrs. William Perkins, Chaumont. A son, Arlington, was killed in Germany during World War II; 52 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 today at the Durhamville Baptist Church, the Rev. Stanley Bean, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Grove Cemetery, Irish Ridge Road.
The Gold Star Mothers of Oneida will conduct rituals at the funeral service.
