Ron Carey was born in Stockwell, London, and was an Adventist treasurer in Watford, Kenya (1932), San Francisco, and Grantham.  He was ordained as an S.D.A. minister in the late 1950's.  He had surgery in June 1978, but did not recover well.  He died in Grantham soon after.  He was buried in the Grantham cemetery.  In 1931 he married Winifred Grace Uffindell (b. 10 June 1903).  Winifred may have moved to Newfoundland to be with her children and by 1998 died there.  Winifred is part of the Thirkettle family.  Ron and Winifred Uffindell had three children.
