Sarah Elizabeth Bell (11 Oct 1882--31 July 1968) was born at 7 Owen Street, Eastney.  At the death of her mother (1886), Sarah would have been four years old, so her father placed her in the Rosendale Girls Home (an orphanage).  Eventually she married railroad worker John Newbold.  She died of heart failure and pneumonia in the General Hospital, Birkenhead.  John and Sarah Newbold had one son:
