Kenneth L. Kelly age 88 of St. Elmo, Illinois died Thursday January 5, 2006 at Friendship Manor St. Elmo, Il.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday January 8, 2006 at the Kessel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday January 7, 2006 from 6 to 8 PM also at the funeral home. Burial and Military Rites will be at Kaskaskia Church Cemetery Rural Beecher City, Ill. Memorials may be made in Kenneth's name to: Kaskaskia Church Cemetery.

Kenneth was born on July 8, 1917 in Fayette County the son of Thomas and Lotha (Childress) Kelly. He married Alta Marie Algood on March 17, 1943 and she preceded him in death in 1982. He later married Eloise (Dial) Forbes on June 11, 1984 and she survives. He was employed as a Hauler for Richardson Brothers Greenhouses for many years and was a burial vault installer for Wilbert Burial Vault Company in Decatur, he retired in 1980. He was also the Cemetery Sexton for Mount Zion Cemetery for many years. He was a World War II Army Veteran attaining the rank of Tec 4 and receiving four Bronze Battle Stars during his tour.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, first Wife: Alta, One Brother: Vernon Kelly, One Sister: Thelma Kelly, and One nephew: Paul Kelly.
