  • Her obituary was published in the Review on 5 May 1930 in Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, USA.

    Mrs. Ida May McCray wife of Robert H. McCray, 904 West Center Street, died at 4:10 O'clock Sunday morning at St. Mary hospital. She was sixty-three years old last October. Her death followed an acute attack of appendicitis. She had been ill one week. Mrs. McCray's maiden name was Ida May Fortner. She was born near Sullivan Oct. 6, 1866. She was well known in that neighborhood and in Bethany, where she resided before coming to Decatur. She was twice married. Her first husband, James Sisk Robertson, died thirty-seven years ago. She and Robert Hatfield McCray were married in Decatur May 13, 1899. She was a member of the Christian Church in Bethany. She is survived by her husband and nine Children: Berton and Carl Robertson of Decatur, Guy Robertson of Taylorville, Arthur McCray, Mrs Elmer Edith Pearl Robertson Bailey, Mrs. Orville Savina McCray Laughery, Mrs. George Birde McCray Curtiss, Mrs. Maurice Cora McCray Nance and Miss Lucille McCray, all of Decatur. There are twenty-one grandchildren. The body was taken to the Moran & Sons funeral home and prepared for burial. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Christian church in Moweaqua. The burial will be in the North Cemetery.
