I have just acquired the marriage certificate for Jemima Haining - until today I didn't know her maiden name, in fact no one in the family knew it. Anyway, long story short, I am now updating her page on my tree in Ancestry and I thank you for your website which has Aunty Jem's photo on it. Jem was married to my father's half brother Henry Leslie Thomas Tanner and Tom is also now deceased - I think about the year 2000.

Kind regards from Australia
Kaye Ashton nee Amphlett

Happened upon your tree so I looked up George Focht and in Setchan Family Book. Georg was born 7 Oct 1887 to Anton Focht and Katharina SCHUCH. It says this Gerog married Anna Arnold and went to North Dakota. I did not find Anna's birth in Setschan or Dolatz.

Admin reply: Thank you, Wayne! It's always good to have a few updates. Thanks for stopping by my website.

Hi Kristi,
Thanks for posting! Ella Harrington was my great grand mother. Charles Harrington was her and Thomas’ son, and my grandfather. I went out to the Hubbard cememtary in 2015 and took some pictures. If you would like I can share them.

I’d love to see any other info/documents you may have.

Thanks,

Tim

Admin reply: Hi, Tim —

Thanks for visiting my website. Most of the information I have is posted online, although I didn't document the MN Death Index, and some of the census listings.

I'm guessing you're a second or third cousin to my former sister-in-law, and related to my nieces (although not directly related to me).

I'll contact you by direct email soon.

cheers,

Very nice to see all this information on WS Haining.

He was killed alongside my great uncle Leslie Halkes Wray of Nocton in Lincolnshire, who was 2nd Lt Haining's driver in Tank 2821 'Ella.'

LH Wray kept a diary of his time in France/ Belgium, from the time No.6 Section, 14 Company, E Battalion, Tank Corps left Bovington on 24th June 1917 to 22 October 1917, a month before WS Haining and LH Wray were killed at Cambrai

Tank Crew No.27E: 2/ Lt Haining, Corporal Goodwin, Lance Corporal Cameron, Wray, Edgar, Elliot, Glendinning, Marr

Supply Tank crew: 2/Lt Haining, Wray, Goodwin, Marr, Edgar, Glendinning

Tank Crew 2821 'Ella': same as Supply Tank

I have some details about these crew members

BRgds
Tim Wray

We always remember LH Wray and WS Haining on 20 November every year, along with John Marr, who died later in the war

Admin reply: Hello, Tim!

Thanks for stopping by my website. So nice that you remember your great-uncle and the rest of the tank crew each year. Do you have a transcription of your great-uncle's diary from that time? I wonder what little tidbits there might be about my relative. I don't suppose you would have a photograph of the Ella's crew?

I'll send you a direct email soon.

Hi, Zephaniah Richmond was my great grandfather on my moms side of the family. My grandmother was Mary Richmond. I have some information I found in my moms personal effects when she passed on that may help you fill in some of the gaps. My grandmother's brother was Ebenezer Gardner Richmond, and I still have a small book he kept recording the names, births, and deaths in the Richmond family. I also have (2) early amber-type photographs of Zephaniah Richmond and his wife, along with a marriage license which is pretty beat up but still legible. My mom said that my grandmothers family lived in the area called Lenox basin near Clockville, NY which is on the opposite side of Stockbridge West Hill from the West Road (Rt #146) and half way between Canastota and Stockbridge. Please feel free to E-mail me if I can help. I'm 70, and after I'm gone all this information will be lost. Respectfully, Douglas Jon Walczak

Admin reply: Hello, Douglas!

Thank you so much for stopping by my website. I'm delighted to hear from you. We are related, although a bit distantly. We are 4th cousins twice removed.

I would love to get some of that information from you, and not have it be lost. I will email you directly soon.

Happy Holidays!

Frederick "Fritz" Homan was my Father (Edgar Schwieterman's) half-brother and shared the same mother Irma Klaus-Homan-Schwieterman.

Admin reply: Hi, Kathleen —

Thanks for stopping by my website. It seems our trees intersect slightly, between your half-uncle and his daughter, my 5th cousins once removed. Since Fritz was the "in-law" from my perspective, I'm not researching the side of the tree where you connect. But you may be able to help me fill in a few gaps in my knowledge about Fritz. I'll contact you directly by email.

Happy holidays!
Kirsty
