Ruth Sturgis (Sturges, or Sturgitt) (1864 –1953)

RUTH WAS A REAL SURVIVOR AND A GREAT CARETAKER OF HER FAMILY. SHE LOST SIX OF HER TWELVE CHILDREN WHILE SHE WAS ALIVE. SHE CARED FOR THE FARM WHILE HER HUSBAND WAS RECOVERING FROM HIS INJURY. SHE WAS A GREAT MOTHER AND WIFE.

Ruth L. Sturgis, daughter of John S. And Ruth (Richards) Sturgis. She was born Oct. 6, 1864, in Sheffield, Ohio. Mrs. Ruth Curtiss's maternal grandmother is Nancy Mariah Olin, fifth in descent from John Olin, who came from Wales in 1700.
