Elsie Clara Holland (b. 1 April 1893) was born in Tamworth, Staffordshire, England.  Her father was Joseph Holland of Tamworth, and her mother was born Clara Maria Jackson of Glascote.

Elsie married Private Joseph William BELL, son of Joseph BELL and Susan Ann SHAWYER, on 28 June 1911 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. (Private Joseph William BELL was born on 9 April 1884 in Portsea Island, Hampshire, England 1 3 5 and died on 27 September 1918 in France 1.). The cause of his death was killed in action during World War I.
