grandparents:  Simeon Damon m. 1780 Lucy Bowker (1751–1815); Ichabod Closson m. 1787 Sally Safford (1769 –1857).  Simeon Damon (1751–1811) served as corporal, 1775, in Capt. Galen Clapp's company, Col. Anthony Thomas' regiment, and, 1776, as sergeant in Capt. Thomas Collamore's company, Col. John Cushing's Plymouth County, regiment. He was born and died in Scituate. Mass.
DAR ID Number: 162439; also DAR No. 161206.  Ichabod Closson (1764 –1807) served as private in Capt. William Simonds' company, Colonel Bradley's regiment, Vermont troops. He was born in Jamestown, Va.; died in Rockingham, Vt.  DAR ID Number: 162439.

Elizabeth Bigelow (1743 –1825).  Philip Safford (1736 –1814) served as private and lieutenant under Captains Sergeant and Holton in Colonel Wood's regiment, Vermont militia.
