CONSTANCE WOODRUFF
Mrs. Constance Woodruff, mother-in-law of U. S. Rep. Robert H. Michel, died at 12:36 a.m. Wednesday at Methodist Medical Center, where she was admitted July 15. She was 90 years old.
She was a resident of Fon Du Lac Nursing Home the past five years and had formerly lived at 415 N. Cooper.
Born Jan. 4, 1898, in Gale, S.D., to Ivor C. and Anna E. Noste, she married Lewis M. Woodruff Aug. 22, 1922, in Shelby, S.D. He died in Peoria on Dec. 10, 1986. One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Hubert W. of Salem, Vaughn N. of Evanston and M. Lee of Los Angeles; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Corinne W.) Michel of Peoria; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Noste of Mobridge, S.D., and Ido Noste of Everett, Wash.; and one sister, Agnes Noste of Onida, S.D.
Before her marriage to Mr. Woodruff, she was a primary school teacher. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and its Women's Association. She also was a member and past president of chapter AH of the PEO Sisterhood.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Wilton Mortuary with the Rev. Henry G. Hein officiating.
