LAURA A. TILBERRY was born 05 Aug 1842 in Ohio, the daughter of Christopher Tilberry and Mary Moore.
Her first husband was James K. Thayer (born March 1842 in Brooke County, Virginia, USA; son of James Thayer and Frances Durbin; died 01 Mar 1904 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, USA). They married 07 Dec 1867 in Huntington County, Indiana, USA; had one daughter, Pauline, and then divorced sometime before April 1873.
Laura next married Levi C. Bryant on 03 April 1873 in Miami County, Indiana. Levi was a widower with two young children, Edwin (or Edward) and Jessie. They had at least two more sons together, Guy Hiram Bryant, and William C. Bryant.
Laura appeared on the census in 1880 and in 1900 in Peru, Miami, Indiana; but in 1910 the family had moved to Jasper Township, Shannon County, Missouri, USA. Finally, the family moved to Springfield, and that is where Laura died, on 03 Dec 1917, of chronic bronchitis. She was buried the next day in East Lawn Cemetery.
