     LeROY — Kenneth Small, 77, of LeRoy died at 8 a.m. yesterday (Feb. 23, 1991) at Brokaw Hospital, Normal, following a lengthy illness. He had cancer.
     His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, the Rev. Jeff Busby officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.
     Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
     He was born Dec. 23, 1913, near Colfax, the son of James and Clara Steinlicht Small. He married Ruth Thornberry on Oct. 18, 1934, in Peoria. She survives.
     Also surviving are four sons, -----, 4 Woodbridge Blvd., Bloomington; Ronald L., Arlington, Texas; Norman R., rural Downs; and Larry G., Milwaukee, Wis.; one daughter, ----- -----, rural Arrowsmith; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, -----, East Moline; one sister, ----- Savage, 205 E. Willow St., Normal; and two half sisters, ----- O'Mullane, Indianapolis, and ----- Fergerson, Belview, Fla.
     One infant granddaughter, one grandson, two brothers, one half sister, and one infant half brother preceded him in death.
     Mr. Small was an inspector at Eureka Williams Co. in Bloomington, retiring in 1977 after 26 years. He was a member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Progressive Lodge 1000.
