bullet  General Notes

EDNA MAY RODGERS was born 11 Nov 1890 in Sailor Springs, Hoosier Township, Clay County, Illinois, USA.  She was the daughter of James Alexander Rodgers and Harriet Franklin.  In the 1900 census, Edna appears with her family in Sailor Springs (Hoosier Township, Clay County, Illinois).  However, sometime before the 1910 census, Edna got married to an unknown Cummins.  Edna appears in her parents' household in the 1910 census in Clay City; she is listed as married but her husband is not present in the household. [Unable to find the marriage record.]

Whoever this first husband was, it was apparently a relatively short marriage because in 1913 Edna got married again —  this time to Isaac Israel Ullom, son of David Kingsley Ullom and Josephine Isabelle Herron.  Edna and Isaac lived in Clay City at first, appearing on the 1920 census there.  In 1930 they lived in Farmer City (Santa Anna Township, DeWitt County, Illinois), but by 1942 they had moved back to Sailor Springs.

Ike and Edna had no children.  Edna died on 24 April 1958 and was buried in Dillman Cemetery in Sailor Springs.  Eight years later, Ike died as well, and is buried next to Edna in Dillman Cemetery.
