Alexander married Mary McRae McKENZIE, daughter of John McKENZIE and Lilias Gardiner FORREST, on 16 October 1882 in Boisdale, Inverness-shire, Scotland. (Mary McRae McKENZIE was born on 5 July 1856 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland 2 3 and died on 16 May 1934 in Rothesay, Buteshire, Scotland.). The cause of her death was Cardiovascular Degeneration, As cert. by Thomas C. Christie, M.B. Ch.B.
