JASPER CHARLES HARRIS died Sept. 23, 1931 at Battle Creek, after a short illness. He was born June 22, 1853, in Oakland county, the son of John and Juletta Harris. He came to Edenville in 1868, where he made his home for many years. His duties as clergyman of the Seventh Day Advent church took him into many different localities of Michigan and Ohio and missionary work in India. In addition to his ministerial calling he was a dentist.
His widow living at Cedar Lake, two sons and five daughters, Rev. Freeman Harris, Mrs. Sanders, Mrs. Harry Johnson, Mrs. Charles Sheldon, Miss Pearl Harris, Mrs. Earl and William Harris, survive him. Services were held at the Hebble mortuary, Battle Creek, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. Charlyle B. Haynes. The body was brought to Edenville for burial.
