Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Pierce, 70, of Living Center West, died there Thursday, March 22, 2001, after a long illness. Services: 1 p.m. Monday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, by the Rev. Charles Klink. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and at the chapel after noon Monday.
Survivors include three daughters, ----- ----- and husband ----- of College Springs and ----- ----- and ----- ----- and husband -----, all of Cedar Rapids; five sons, ----- Vandersee and wife ----- and ----- Vandersee and wife -----, all of Marion, ----- Vandersee and wife ----- of Phoenix, and ----- and ----- Vandersee, both of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Carol Dodge of Minnesota; two brothers, Kenneth Klink of Colorado and ----- Klink of Maynard; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Lyle.
Betty was born Oct. 18, 1930, in Fayette, the daughter of Charles and Clara Brelsford Jewett. She was a secretary at the Hawkeye Labor Council AFL-CIO Local 405 and for the Sheet Metal Workers Local 263 for 25 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Eagles Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society in Betty's name.
