The Rolla Weekly Herald, Feb. 11, 1897 -

William Neighbors, age 73, died Jan. 31, 1897, at the family residence, 3 mi. west of St. James. He was one of the oldest settlers in this part of the country, and was a highly respected citizen, being a devout member of the Christian Church for years. The funeral was Wednesday, burial was in the Wishon Cemetery. He leaves a widow and three children.
