     Gerrit Scholtus, 75, of Albia, died Saturday, March 25, 1995, at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia. Services were held 10:30 a.m. Monday at Geyer-Nordstrom Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Burial was in Oak View Cemetery.
  
     He was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Summit Township in Marion County to Aart and Carrie Horman Scholtus. He married Luella May Chapman Oct. 28, 1944, in Oskaloosa. He had farmed at Rose Hill for seven years prior to moving to rural Albia and farming until 1977 when he retired. He was a member of Farm Bureau.
  
     He is survived by his wife; four sons, ----- of Storm Lake, ----- of Ottumwa, ----- of Albia and ----- of Moravia; a daughter, ----- DeMoss of Avery; nine grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; four brothers, -----, -----, ----- and -----, all of Rose Hill; five sisters, ----- Harding, ----- Hoyt, ----- Jenkins of Oskaloosa; ----- Seaton of Rose Hill and ----- Lane of Tennesse.
  
     He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
  
     Geyer-Nordstrom Funeral Chapel was in charge of funeral arrangements.
