Ruth Rader

Ruth Rader, widow of Raymond Rader, former pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lizton, passed away December 6, 2014. She was 86.
Ruth was born in Switz City, Indiana on January 31, 1928 to John and Hazel Miller. She was one of nine children. Her father was a barber and she followed him into the profession becoming a licensed beautician in the early 1960's. She worked in salons and did hair in her home for many years. Ruth worked at Danville Rehabilitation Center serving its residents for over 25 years.
Ruth Miller married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Rader, upon his return from the war on July 6, 1946. He was the star basketball player and she the cheerleader. They remained married for 64 years until his death in 2010.
Ruth is survived by her sons, ----- (wife -----) and ----- (wife -----); brothers, Warren Miller and Russell Miller; sister, Aletha King; grandsons, ----- Rader, ----- Rader, ----- Klein and ----- Klein.
Funeral arrangements are Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Callahan and Hughes Funeral Home, Terre Haute, Indiana. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. immediately before the funeral service. A private burial will be at the K of P Cemetery in Lizton, Indiana.
