Norman C. Clark
Norman C. Clark, 82, of Franklin, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at the Franklin United Methodist Community.
He was born Oct. 23, 1928, in Lawrenceville, Ill., to the late Aurelian Clark and Ruth Ada Mae (Rogers) Clark.
Norman was a graduate of Lawrenceville High School. He served in the Navy from 1949 to 1953.
Norman married Virginia G. Booth on Feb. 22, 1954; and she passed away on Sept. 25, 1995.
He was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Martinsville.
Norman was an engineer/manager for Indiana Bell for 35 years, retiring Dec. 18, 1990.
He enjoyed working at the church, woodworking, golf and softball. He was one of the men who helped start the Martinsville Church Softball League.
Norman is survived by a son, ----- (wife -----) Clark of Lafayette; two daughters, ----- (husband -----) ----- of Bargersville and ----- ----- of Groveland, Fla.; three sisters, ----- ----- of Kankakee, Ill., ----- ----- of Huntington Beach, Calif., and ----- ----- of Louisville, Ky.; and eight grandchildren, -----, ----- and ----- Clark, -----, ----- and ----- -----, and ----- and ----- -----.
He also was preceded in death by two sons, Michael A. and Daniel W. Clark; and a brother, Roger Clark.
Fr. John Hall will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1709 E. Harrison St., Martinsville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Costin Funeral Chapel, 539 E. Washington St., Martinsville, and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. A military graveside service will be conducted at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Cemetery.
